Given the decisions regarding Mastic Resin, I decided to look into other aspects of Create: Garnished that might need some adjustments. In this case, Peanut Oil. None of the changes listed below will be in v1.8 and will instead be included with v1.9
Peanut Oil will no longer be able to superheat Blaze Burners. However, it can still be used as fuel for your Blaze Burners. Additionally, Peanut Oil Buckets will be able to be used in Furnaces as a fuel source, being about as strong as a piece of Coal.
Despite this change, there is a replacement coming in for an alternative superheating option - Ascended Peanut Oil (Name is a work in progress).
Ascended Peanut Oil will basically function exactly like Peanut Oil did before in relation to heating. However, this also will introduce a few additional changes, which will be covered later in this post.

Ascended Peanut Oil Buckets can also be used as a fuel source for furnaces, but will be as strong as using a Lava Bucket.
Ascended Peanut Oil's recipe is still being decided, but I believe that it would be one of the few non-food items that would require a factory to make.
Basically, you'd first need to create a full bucket of Peanut Oil. Then, you will need to mix it with a few different items - including a Vex Wing and a new plant that could only be found rarely in the Meadow biome, a Ghost Orchid. Of course, a few other items would be included, but these would be considered the "main" or "harder to get" ingredients.
This is a pretty minor change, but Peanut Oil (the fluid) is receiving a texture update - similar to the Liquefied Mastic Resin in v1.8.
Retextured Peanut Oil Fluid
The Ascended Peanut Oil will be used in a few food items that already exist - such as Phantom Steak or Nutty Melody.
Additionally, some foods in the upcoming v1.8 update will involve Ascended Peanut Oil when it is implemented.
There might even be some entirely new foods added relating to this item in its update as well!
Ghost Orchids, as mentioned earlier, would be found rarely in the Meadow biome. This flower has ethereal properties, being used in certain foods that have harnessed its power.
